Today’s goal is all about organizing. I love to organize, declutter, simplify! So much so that I have noticed that many items on my Master To Do List are organization related.
You may remember that I pulled all of my weekend project ideas out to create a sublist within my Master To Do List, so that it would be easier to see what needs to be done more immediately. Well, now that all of the projects are off the list, I’ve noticed that probably half of what remains is organization related.
So, today’s goal is to pull those items out into a sublist and complete one of the items on the list. I’ll continue working off this list, with the goal of one new item finished each week. I am thinking I might pair this with the weekend projects.
Today, as my one action item, I will be cleaning the junk area in the kitchen. Now, this is a small area, but it gets cluttered easily. So, I’ll be going through everything and putting items where they belong. And, just for fun, I’ll clean off the window sill in the kitchen (another area that collects things) to have two items off this list today!
Much of what is on the organization sublist involves going through things. For example, I want to go through all of my children’s books and donate those that are no longer read, or below their level. I’ll keep a few for the future and pack those away downstairs in my banker’s boxes too. This task stems from a need, since we don’t have enough space to fit the books that my children currently have (because they have too many!). There are also a few cleaning items on this organization sublist as well, like cleaning the oven, because that takes a longer time, and it is organizational in nature!
So, what do you have on your Master To Do List? Do you see any common threads?
Off to clean…
To your success,
Dr. Laura
