Minimalist Monday Mission: Declutter 365 – Guest Room Dresser and Guest Bathroom

Minimalist Monday Mission

This week for Minimalist Monday Mission: Declutter 365 I decluttered the guest room dresser and the guest bathroom!

This week, I decided to double up and finish two smaller areas instead of one larger area.  Plus, the guest room closet was done a few weeks ago, which only left the dresser.  So, now I can say that I finished another room!

There is a big dresser in our guest room, but it’s mostly empty so our guests can use it.  There were three drawers full of bags, and lots of winter stuff.  I was able to get rid of all the bags completely, and about half of the winter stuff.

Here’s the before:

And the after:

Now moving on to the guest bathroom, there were two main areas – the vanity drawers and the bath toys.

The vanity was fairly straight forward – I removed some of the towels and got rid of all the white hand towels that really aren’t so white anymore (they were at least 12 years old, and children are dirty!), and I replaced them with a few lovely forest green hand towels.  I did keep a few of the children’s favorite hand towels as well, even though they are white, because they can use them when company is not here.

Here’s the before:

And the after:

And lastly, the bath toys.  While I threw out several that were a bit icky, I also took the opportunity to scrub down the entire toy basket…ahhh…
