This week for Minimalist Monday Mission: Declutter 365 I decluttered the my child’s desk!

After finishing the two closets (here and here), the last main thing in the children’s areas was the desk.  It was pretty cluttered, because like all flat spaces, it seems to attract lots of stuff that doesn’t belong there.

In fact, it wasn’t even being used for a desk, because there was too much stuff on it taking up space.

Much better.  And it’s interesting to me that after almost 9 months of decluttering my home, the numbers of items recycled/thrown out vs. donated vs. sold are so similar!

Now that the children’s areas are mainly done, I’m heading back to the tool area in the laundry room.  The last several times I have needed to find something in there, it has taken WAY too long!  And it’s just a mess.  I have learned that when things bother you, it’s time to put them next on your list
